Welcome to The Caverns

Picture
Take a journey into the mind of C.L. Hodge.

I welcome you to a most random place.  There will be a varying degree of the utmost rants from an extremely random soul.  Look at the photo to your left, my right.  That is C.L. Hodge.  He stands there as though he had just finished running a marathon and realized that he was late for this meeting with you.  He gulped his tea and maniacally rushed over to introduce himself.  His stance is angled because he still has places to go; one foot on the walk way and the other creeping onto the cobble stoned road way.  There are train tracks  for a trolley to possibly lift him, but he is not sure if he will take it.  He may keep walking.  Nonetheless, there are mysteries to discover.

The Caverns.

That is what he calls the intricate details of life.  Much like the valleys and plateaus above, beneath and in between those stones, he must decipher what happenings there are in the world at large that are often overlooked and of which are taken advantage.  He has a desire to try to make sense of it all and to write it down in permanence; then to allow you to read it.

Poetry.  Stories, both fiction and truth, will be stored here for a common home.  Just because his mind can be scattered doesn't mean he has to make it that way for you.

Now back to the photo.  What is with that smirk on his face?  I have an idea he is probably wondering what conversations are going on in the cars behind him and in the bars lining River Street on which he stands.  Which romances are brewing and which are coming to a close?  What prodigal daughter had just decided to call her estranged father for the first time in fifteen years after she consumed a few Savannah Teas?

The diversity of humanity; the deepest caverns of the heart.  These mysteries are what makes C.L. Hodge sporadic, and what purposes him to write.

Thank you for stopping by.  And please do come here often.  You are always welcome to take a journey through The Caverns.  Bring your torches, sometimes it will get dark.  Bring your boots for there will be times when it will get thick.  Bring your halo, for there may be times you will feel like a saint.
